November Speaker Info:
Title of Talk: Delight!
Arlene is a wife, mother, sister and friend, but most of all a beloved child of the King of kings. She is the life companion of Matt Heard, lead pastor at Northland Church and founder of THRIVE, a speaking, teaching, and consulting ministry that focuses on engaging men and women to be fully alive to the glory of God in every arena of their life, journey, and culture. She has been an integral part of Matt’s life endeavoring to fulfill the roles of encourager, listener, hostess, and all-around partner. One of their greatest joys has been to raise three sons, all of whom by God’s limitless grace are walking with Jesus, involved in their local churches, and love one another and their parents. She has also been a mother in law for a few years and is thrilled to add another daughter-in-law to their family soon. Arlene loves being a mom at all the stages–so far!
She likes to read, cook, entertain, explore new places, loves history, is naturally curious about things around her and the people she interacts with. She has been conditioned (by the four men in the family) into a sports nut. She is a lover at the core–of her family, friends, and especially Jesus!
Arlene will be reflecting on Delight! Not only how we can savor who God is, but also how he delights in us and over us.
“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
